The David-Kenneth Group is seeking to add a qualified Senior Network Architect to its team of experienced data center migration professionals. Data Center migration projects are mission-critical, come with inherent risks and are typically a once in a lifetime project for most organizations. That is why this position requires an individual with previous data center migration experience.

The ideal candidate must be a proactive team player with a dynamic personality comfortable working in highly available, fast-paced, client-facing environments. The person in this role will provide technical support for project planning, development, and implementation. You will be responsible for understanding a client's existing environment, designing target architectures, and hands-on implementation of designs. The candidate must be independent, proactive, and comfortable working in small teams with similarly elite personnel. Must be able to demonstrate broad network engineering experience in both design and deployment. The qualified candidate must be able to install and configure Network architecture, provide optimized configurations plus able to support existing; migrate the networks from the current production environment to the new datacenter with no downtime. Significant migration experience is a must. This is NOT a position for which you will be trained.

Experience Requirements

The qualified candidate must have 10 YRS of experience with assessments, project planning, network design and hands on implementation of network infrastructure solutions for highly visible/ large enterprise clients.
Previous Network Design experience in data center migrations: relocations, colocations and consolidations projects.
Previous Network Design experience with Data Center Interconnects (DCI), Leaf/Spine Fabric, and VLAN-Stretching (Cisco OTV).
Able to advise clients and implement new technologies for high-level designs and monitor performance based on specified project requirements.
Possesses expert knowledge of the Cisco Nexus product line (9k, 7k, and 5k) and experience with Cisco ASR Routers and Cisco Catalyst switches
Posssess expert knowledge of BGP and OSPF and experience with Dark Fiber, DWDM and MPLS.
Possess expert knowledge in Network Security including NX-OS/IOS hardening and implementations of GRE, DMVPN and IPSEC tunneling.
In-Depth Knowledge of Network Architecture, demonstrated understanding of networking layer 2 and 3
Strong ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot complex technical issues
Network latency testing and mitigation
Circuit selection and sizing
Logical and physical network diagramming
Experience with Network auto-discovery tools
Work as a flexible team player - independently as well as collaboratively
Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)

Experience with EVPN and VXLAN
Experience with Software Defined Networks (VMware NSX, Cisco ACI)
Experience with Firewalls (Palo Alto, Check Point, Cisco ASA)
Experience with Load Balancing technologies (F5, Cisco, Citrix)
Experience with WAN optimization technologies (Riverbed, Cisco)
Experience with Cisco UCS
Experience with Cloud Services (Azure, AWS)
Experience with Virtualization Technologies (VMware vSphere, Citrix XenServer, Windows Hyper-V )
Past telecommuting background
